Context of practice lecture 12

Synthesis

-Praxis- reflection, theory, action
A lot of this lecture was recapping things and saying how we can bring it all together.
-Learning outcome 1 - knowledge and understanding demonstrating a deep awareness of the subject- PEST- political, economical, social and technological.
Learning outcome 2- cognitive skills demonstrating an awareness of the relationship between theory and practice.
Learning outcome 3- Practical and professional skills to analyse and evaluate ideas from different sources.
Learning outcome 4- Key transferable skills research that demonstrates awareness of critical,effective and testable process.
Learning outcome 5- synthesis- a complex dynamic process where al the pieces come together to an even bigger part of the puzzle

We need to use some of what we have learnt in these lectures in our essays.

Marx's theses on Feuerbach said ' Philosophers have only interbred the world in various ways; the point is to change it' I think as artists we can change the worlds perception of things.


I'm not sure I really understand this but this is Kolb's experimental learning cycle basically seeing if your experiments work and if not why not and trying again. Its about not doing things mindlessly.
